Window film in Hawaii Kai

Window film for Hawaii Kai, Portlock and the marina — where the afternoon sun comes off the water twice.

Marina-front homes in Hawaii Kai get the heat load twice: once direct, and once reflected off the water. West-facing rooms overlooking the marina are the hottest rooms we measure anywhere on the island, and they are usually the living rooms.

Sliding lanai doors are the priority here. They are the largest single area of glass in most of these houses and the easiest win — filming just the sliders often drops the room temperature enough that the owner stops running the air conditioning through the afternoon.

Portlock and the ridge homes above Kalama Valley have the same orientation problem with a bigger view to protect, so we lean towards the clearest high-performance film rather than anything with a tint to it.
